Week 01 – The healthcare industry: The challenges we face
Week 1: Pressures, burnout drivers, and your first resilience tools In this Week 1 coaching session, you’ll explore the real-world pressures that drive stress and burnout in healthcare, both external (systems and environment) and internal (standards, mental load, expectations). You’ll also learn simple, evidence-based ways to protect your energy and make values-based decisions, even on tough days.  In this video, we cover: The current state of burnout in healthcare, and why these challenges feel uniquely intense  Five common external pressures (including compliance, approvals, malpractice risk, financial strain, and rapid technology change)  Three key internal pressures: quality-of-care expectations, heavy mental load, and patient expectations  Practical resilience strategies you can start today: micro-recoveries, naming emotions to reduce intensity, and staying connected to your professional community  A simple ethical reflection framework (Recognize, Reflect, Respond, Review) to reduce moral distress and improve clarity under pressure  How to reconnect with purpose, manage financial stress proactively, and keep growing your skills to expand career options  Next steps (after the video): Complete the short multiple-choice quiz to consolidate your learning  Download and complete the worksheet to apply the strategies to your real work and life.

Week 02 – Mindset
Welcome to Week 2: Mindset in your Surviving to Thriving journey. This session focuses on the one factor that shapes how you experience pressure, uncertainty, and daily clinical demands: your mindset: the “lens” you’re looking through.  In this video, you’ll learn how mindset affects stress, performance, and wellbeing, and why it’s not only the workload that drains us, but often how we interpret and respond to it. We’ll unpack the difference between fixed and growth mindsets, and what happens in the brain under stress (including why we can become reactive when the pressure is high).    You’ll also learn how to use neuroplasticity to shift unhelpful thinking patterns (like catastrophizing, all-or-none thinking, and over-responsibility), and apply three practical tools you can start using immediately: Growth-Mindset Moments Micro-breaks + Reset Routines (including a simple breathing pattern) Circles of Concern, Influence, and Control  Next steps: Complete the short online quiz to consolidate your learning. After the quiz, you’ll unlock the worksheet so you can put the strategies into action this week.

Week 03 – Time Management
Welcome to Week 3: Energy Management. This week, we’re shifting gears: from managing time to managing energy. Time is limited, but energy is renewable, and sustainable performance in healthcare depends less on hours worked and more on the energy you bring to each patient interaction and decision.  In this session, you’ll learn why “efficient exhaustion” happens when we manage minutes without managing capacity, and how recovery and performance depend not only on time off, but on how effectively we restore energy during and between workdays.  We’ll briefly introduce the four dimensions of energy: Physical (sleep, movement, nutrition, hydration) Emotional (supportive relationships, gratitude, optimism) Mental (focus, cognitive flexibility, recovery from attention overload) Spiritual (purpose, meaning, values alignment)  Then we’ll focus on three practical strategies you can apply immediately: Strategic micro-recovery breaks (1-3 minutes every 60-90 minutes) Aligning high-intensity tasks with your energy peaks (working with your natural rhythms) Self-reflection to rebuild emotional and spiritual energy (meaning, gratitude, and purpose)  Next step: Complete the short online quiz to consolidate your learning. After the quiz, you’ll unlock your self-improvement worksheet to put these strategies into action this week.

Week 04 – Emotional Intelligence
Welcome to Week 4: Emotional Intelligence in your Surviving to Thriving journey. This week, we’re focusing on one of the most powerful (yet often overlooked) tools for managing stress and building real resilience: emotional intelligence. In healthcare, where emotions run high and decisions carry real weight, emotional intelligence is what helps us shift from reactivity to steady leadership.  We’ll unpack what emotional intelligence really means: the ability to recognise, understand, and manage emotions in ourselves and in others, and why it’s essential in today’s demanding healthcare environment. You’ll learn the five core components: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills, and how each one supports resilience, teamwork, and patient trust.    We’ll also explore why emotional intelligence is a clinical safeguard. The evidence highlighted in the webinar connects higher emotional intelligence with outcomes like lower burnout, fewer errors, and stronger patient satisfaction because it helps us pause, assess, and respond with intention under pressure.  Then we translate the concepts into three practical strategies you can use right away: Train your awareness: Recognise patterns early and reflect briefly at the end of the day Master the pause: Reset your physiology, attention, and intention in under a minute Lead with empathy: Listen fully, validate, and humanise each interaction      Next step: Complete the short online quiz to consolidate your learning. After the quiz, download your self-improvement worksheet and choose one small step to practise this week: because emotional intelligence grows through small, consistent actions.
